Low Income Taxpayer Clinics
Some taxpayers may qualify for assistance from a Low Income Tax Clinic that represents taxpayers in a pro bono capacity before the Internal Revenue Service. These clinics are located throughout the country and have been formed to serve 1) low income taxpayers who cannot afford professional tax assistance (controversy clients) or 2) taxpayers who speak English as a second language and need help understanding their tax rights and obligations (ESL clients).
